Pangea was a supercontinent that existed 250 million years ago. It was surrounded by a super ocean that occupied almost 70% of the Earth's surface, and over many millions of years parts of this huge land mass have moved away from each other. This puzzle shows how the continents as we know them today have been formed over millions of years, and at the same time life on Earth has developed. Increasingly better adapted dinosaurs ruled the Earth until they disappeared 65 million years ago, and then new species took over and evolved into the varied animal life we have today.
